‘ভয়েস অব আমেরিকা’র সঙ্গে সাক্ষাৎকারে সুদগুরু ইউনূসের কাছে নির্দিষ্টভাবে ‘বঙ্গবন্ধুর বাড়ি ধ্বংস, জাতীয় শোক দিবস বাতিলকরণ এবং বঙ্গবন্ধু, যিনি জাতির জনক হিসেবে স্বীকৃত, তাঁকে ফ্যাসিস্ট আইকন হিসেবে দেখার প্রবণতা’ বিষয়ে তার অন্তর্বর্তীকালীন সরকারের দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি জানতে চাওয়া হয়। উত্তরের শুরুতেই ইউনূস বলেন, “আপনি অতীতের বিষয় নিয়ে কথা বলছেন।” অর্থাৎ, জাতির জনক এবং তাঁর মৃত্যু উপলক্ষ্যে ঘোষিত জাতীয় শোক, তাঁর ঐতিহাসিক বাড়ি ইত্যাদি এখন অতীত বিষয়। এরপর, উত্তরের শেষ পর্যায়ে ইউনূস ছাত্রদের বক্তব্যকে উদ্ধৃত করে বলেন, “আমরা একটি রিসেট বাটন চেপেছি। অতীত নিশ্চিতভাবে চলে গিয়েছে।” খেয়াল করুন, ইউনূস স্পষ্টভাবে অতীত মুছে ফেলার কথাই বলেছিলেন।
বাঙালী জাতি এবার ইউনূসের রিসেট বাটনটিই চেপে দিতে পারে, সেই ভয়ে প্রেস বিজ্ঞপ্তি প্রকাশ করে তিনি একটি দায়সারা একটি ব্যাখ্যা দিয়েছেন। ব্যাখ্যায় বলা হচ্ছে, তিনি নাকি অতীত মুছে দেওয়ার কথা বলেননি, কেবল দূর্নীতিগ্রস্ত রাজনীতিকে রিসেট করতে চেয়েছেন। এরপর তিনি একটি ‘হার্ডওয়্যার’ তত্ত্ব প্রতিষ্ঠা করতে চেয়েছেন। বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে বলা হয়েছে, “When you press the reset button, you reset the software to start all over again. It doesn’t change the hardware. The 1971 Liberation War created the hardware of Bangladesh.” অর্থাৎ, “আপনি যখন রিসেট বাটন চাপেন, আপনি সর্বাঙ্গীভাবে পুনরায় চালু করতে সফটওয়্যারটিকে রিসেট করেন। এটা হার্ডওয়্যারটিকে পরিবর্তন করে না। ১৯৭১ এর মুক্তিযুদ্ধ বাংলাদেশের হার্ডওয়্যার তৈরি করেছিল।”
সুদগুরু ইউনূসের এই ‘হার্ডওয়্যার-সফটওয়্যার’ তত্ত্বের ব্যাখ্যা পুনরায় হয়তো তিনি দেবেন। তার পূর্বে দেখা যাক, আমাদের ক্ষুদ্র জ্ঞানে বাংলাদেশ নামক রাষ্ট্রযন্ত্রের হার্ডওয়্যার-সফটওয়্যার চিনতে পারি কিনা। ইউনূসের মতো পণ্ডিত নাহলেও আমরা অন্তত এটুকি বুঝি যে হার্ডওয়্যার হচ্ছে বাহ্যিক যন্ত্রাংশ যার শারীরিক অবয়ব রয়েছে, যা ধরা যায়, ছোঁয়া যায়, দেখা যায়। অন্যদিকে, সফটওয়্যার হচ্ছে হার্ডওয়্যারের প্রাণ বা চালিকা শক্তি। যন্ত্রের স্মৃতি, সফটওয়্যার প্রতিস্থাপন করলে সেই যন্ত্র আর আগের যন্ত্রটি থাকে না, কেবল আগের হার্ডওয়্যারটি রয়ে যায়। জন লক “আমি আসলে কে?” এই প্রশ্নের উত্তর খুঁজতে গিয়ে বলেছিলেন, “আমি হচ্ছি আমার স্মৃতির সমন্বিত রূপ।” অর্থাৎ, আমার সম্পূর্ণ স্মৃতি আপনাকে দিলে এবং আপনার সম্পূর্ণ স্মৃতি আমি নিলে, আমাদের দৈহিক গঠনের পরিবর্তন না হলেও ব্যক্তি হিসেবে আমরা ভিন্ন মানুষ হয়ে যাবো। যন্ত্রের ক্ষেত্রে, এবং রাষ্ট্রের ক্ষেত্রেও তাই।
রাষ্ট্রের হার্ডওয়্যার আর সফটওয়্যার কী তাহলে? রাষ্ট্রকে ‘Set of institutions’ বলা হয়৷ অর্থাৎ, একটি দেশের সমাজ, ইতিহাস, ঐতিহ্য, বিভিন্ন ধরনের প্রতিষ্ঠান, জনগণ, ভূমি, সরকার, সার্বভৌমত্ব সবকিছু মিলিয়ে একটি রাষ্ট্র গড়ে ওঠে৷ এরমধ্যে এর বাহ্যিক কাঠামো বা হার্ডওয়্যার বলা যায় ভূমি, জনগণ, সরকার ইত্যাদিকে। কিন্তু সফটওয়্যার হচ্ছে সেই সমস্ত চালিকা শক্তি যা এই রাষ্ট্রকে পরিচালনা করে। প্রাথমিকভাবে, পৃথিবীর সমস্ত রাষ্ট্র চলে ইতিহাসের উপর ভর করে৷ ইতিহাসকে তাই ‘ফার্মওয়্যার’ বলা য়ায়, যা কোনভাবেই পরিবর্তন বা রিসেট করা যায় না। আর, চূড়ান্তভাবে রাষ্ট্র চলে প্রতিষ্ঠাকালীন চেতনা, লক্ষ্য, উদ্দেশ্যের উপর ভিত্তি করে, রাষ্ট্রবিজ্ঞানে যাকে ‘Hypothetical social contract’ বলে এবং ইউনূস তত্ত্ব অনুযায়ী তা হলো ‘সফটওয়্যার’।
ইউনূস হার্ডওয়্যার রিসেট করবেন না, তিনি সফটওয়্যার রিসেট করবেন। অর্থাৎ, তিনি দেশের বাহ্যিক উপাদানের পরিবর্তন ঘটাবেন না, তিনি পরিবর্তন ঘটাবেন সেই চেতনার যে চেতনার উপর ভিত্তি করে বাংলাদেশ প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়েছিলো, পরিবর্তন ঘটাবেন সেই ইতিহাসের যেই ইতিহাসের মহানায়ক বাঙালীর জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান।
